Hot Power Yoga
Tomorrow is our last day of our 30-day Hot Power Yoga Challenge. Courtney and I have always been tempted to try yoga in the heat so when we came across this great deal, we had to take it. For the past 30 days (well, not everyday...) Courtney and I have been traveling to Clapham to take yoga classes. These aren't just ordinary yoga classes though- this is yoga in heat otherwise known as Bikram yoga. The temperature can vary anywhere between 80-95 F. The reason for the heat is to help stretch your body and it helps you focus better. We were really nervous the first couple of classes but luckily they had beginner classes for us. As the weeks went on, it wasn't about getting our moneys worth- it was more about how we felt after the practice- so energized! We both never considered ourselves as the 'yoga type' but now after these last few weeks we are definitely into it and will be taking more classes back home. I bought a hot pink yoga mat, while Courtney bought a purple one so hopefully we can fit those in our suitcases to continue this new found love!
