Kelsey and I had a guest come and visit us! Kelsey’s friend Michelle from college came to
stay with us for a couple of weeks and also do some traveling around the
UK. We decided it was fitting to take an
Olympic walking tour since it’s all the rage over here already.
We met our tour guide outside a tube station in North East
London and began our walk. We made our
way to the Olympic Park where we got a good view. This is where a majority of the main stuff
will happen but the events will be all around the city.
We couldn’t go into the buildings because they are still
under construction but we saw the building where the opening ceremony will take
place. The track events will also be
held there and we also saw the building of the swimming and diving events.
There is also an Olympic village where all the athletes will be housed and it’ll be run like a hotel. It was a good walking tour to try in light of the up coming events!
